The results of regional benchmarking studies and location factors are summarized in SWOT studies.
BAKBASEL also gives strategic recommendations. These are addressed to policy makers at different levels of government (national, regional, municipal) and the economic policy strategists and stakeholders in management, associations, chambers of commerce and economic development institutes.
Economic strategies and visions can be developed from the given recommendations. In this process, BAKBASEL plays a neutral advisory role as an independent marketing research and consultancy institute whose analysis is based on empirical data.
The recommendations point out which measures are necessary to maintain and improve the future international competitiveness of the investigated region’s economy.
